Father’s emotional audition with two daughters leaves ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judges stunned
Despite losing confidence in himself over the years and stopping singing in public, Nick was given 45 minutes to warm up before performing in front of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams. The 35-year-old father told the judges that he had “lost a lot of confidence” in himself and was hesitant about performing in front of them.
But Nick’s nerves melted away as he sang “Daddy’s Little Girl,” a song written by Ernie Halter, to his daughters. The emotional performance left the judges and host Declan Donnelly in tears, with Declan jokingly insisting that he was fine after wiping his tears away. Nick’s family appeared onstage during his performance, and he sang the song so beautifully that the judges were “in bits.”
Despite the heartwarming moment, some viewers questioned the legitimacy of Nick’s audition due to him already wearing a microphone before being called onstage.
Nevertheless, it was a touching performance that left a lasting impact on the audience and judges alike, and a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful moments in life come when we least expect them.
